A closure of the Elizabeth Line through central London will affect trains to Woolwich and Abbey Wood this weekend.
Travel options will be further reduced on Sunday when engineering works close Southeastern and Thameslink lines through Greenwich, Woolwich and Abbey Wood.
Cross-river travel will also be hampered by the southbound Blackwall Tunnel being closed on Sunday, affecting bus services in both directions.
The central section of the Elizabeth Line will be closed for engineering works across the whole weekend, with no trains between Paddington and Abbey Wood or Stratford on Saturday. On Sunday, the closure will be between Ealing Broadway and Abbey Wood or Stratford. There will also be no trains to Heathrow.
On Sunday, there will be no Southeastern Metro or Thameslink trains on the Greenwich and Woolwich line, with Thameslink trains being diverted via Lewisham, Blackheath and Eltham.
Docklands Light Railway services from Woolwich Arsenal will also be affected by engineering works all weekend, with no trains between Canning Town and Stratford International. Services to Bank will run as normal.
Other rail services in the area, including the Jubilee Line, the DLR to Greenwich and Lewisham and Southeastern Metro routes through Lewisham, are set to run as normal this weekend.
There is one glimmer of good news for Elizabeth Line users – the only closures planned through Woolwich over Christmas will be on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, with all-night trains set to run at New Year.
But there are line closures planned for February and March.
