A Greenwich councillor has pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud and perverting the course of justice.
Tonia Ashikodi appeared at Blackfriars Crown Court today alongside her father, Tony Ashikodi.
The Glyndon ward representative is charged with two counts of fraud by misrepresentation in applications to Greenwich Council for housing in October 2008 and May 2012. She is also charged with perverting the course of justice in May 2018. She pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
Tony Ashikodi is charged with perverting the course of justice at the same time. He also pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Their trial will be heard at Blackfriars Crown Court from Monday 10 June, after being moved from an original date in April at the nearby Inner London court.
Judge Alexander Milne QC agreed to extend both defendants’ unconditional bail until the trial date.
