Got a story? Is there something you’d like to tell The Greenwich Wire? Is there a howling great error on the website? Use the email address below to get in touch.

Generally this website covers news and issues in Greenwich borough with occasional forays a short way beyond. More often than not, this involves Greenwich Council and the way it is run, but there are plenty of other issues around too. We also try to encourage people to play an active part in their community.

Time to investigate new stories is incredibly limited and replies aren’t guaranteed, but all information is appreciated. You’re more likely to get a response if I can see you’re familiar with the site and the constraints it operates under. If you’ve a suggestion for a burning issue, please consider what you can do to help this site get it out there.

A few things before you email the site…

  • Because of time constraints, we’re sadly unable to run plugs for events. If you think there’s a really good story behind it, drop us a line at least two weeks in advance and we’ll see what we can do. We never run stories about events after they’ve happened.
  • Please don’t send links to stories other people have done – such as another local website or newspaper – unless there’s something new or significant that they’ve missed. Similarly, please indicate if you’ve sent the same story elsewhere – this site doesn’t have the resources to chase the same stories that others are covering.
  • If you’ve got information, please send links/documents, not screengrabs.
  • If you’ve used AI to prepare what you have to say, in any way, it’ll get binned.

There are also things we just don’t do…

  • If you want something fixed, consider telling your local councillors, MP or other representatives. Come to us if they don’t deliver.
  • We don’t have the capacity to investigate your old boss/landlord.
  • We prefer stories about walking and cycling to people’s driving and parking gripes, and we are more interested in tenants’ stories than landlords’ complaints. To deal with driving and parking issues, visit MoneySavingExpert.com.
  • We usually ignore anonymous tip-offs – please trust us with your name.

We’ll try to resolve complaints informally – the site aims to report robustly but fairly, but please email if a clanger’s been dropped. For more serious issues, see the site’s complaints procedure.

We’re not interested in unsolicited approaches for guest posts or marketing collaborations and treat such approaches – including those from Outreach Bee, Outreach Articlehub and Marko Andretti – as unwanted spam.
