A colourful immersive art show will come to Woolwich Works over Easter, featuring winding tunnels and cavernous domes to “encourage curiosity, play and innovation”.

The inflatable Luminarium: Myriad, which will open on April 2 for five days, is billed as “a feast for the senses and an adventure for all ages”. Ambient music will play as visitors explore the tunnels and chambers.

People are encouraged to explore at their own pace, although each visit is expected to take about 20 to 30 minutes.

Lumarium: Myriad is the brainchild of Alan Parkinson, the founder of Architects of Air, a Nottingham-based company which has specialised in inflatable artworks for more than 30 years.

Nick Williams, the founder of Woolwich Works, said: “With its use of natural light and beautiful soundscapes, Luminarium: Myriad is a great day out for families of all ages and generations over the Easter break.”

The arrival of Luminarium: Myriad will come nearly four years after the immersive Dreamachine show came to Woolwich Public Market. But while that was for adults only, the show at Woolwich Works is for all the family.

Tickets are £8 each and are available at woolwich.works/luminarium.

Woolwich Works is also hosting a watch party for The Traitors this Friday evening, beginning at 7pm.
